Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Agreement
By using MetaStrip you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. MetaStrip is provided by SqueezeCodex as a Free forever: no account, no Pro tier, no ads in the product UI.
The service
MetaStrip lets you inspect and strip metadata from images in your browser. Features may change. We may add or remove guides, sister-site links, or supporting pages without notice.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the images you open and for complying with applicable law (including privacy, copyright, and export rules). Do not use MetaStrip to conceal evidence of crime or to violate others’ rights.
You understand that “Strip all” re-encodes pixels and may change JPEG quality slightly, and that “Strip GPS” is best-effort on JPEG EXIF. Always verify critical outputs yourself.
No warranties
MetaStrip is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that stripping will remove every possible metadata channel in every file format or browser.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SqueezeCodex and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of MetaStrip.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape in a way that harms availability, or misrepresent the product. Automated access for search indexing of public pages is fine.
Intellectual property
Site chrome, copy, and branding are owned by SqueezeCodex or its licensors. Vendored open-source libraries retain their respective licenses.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how local processing and hosting logs work. These Terms incorporate that policy by reference.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
